Sara has a wealth of experience advising clients across a range of sectors. She provides senior counsel on policy, legislative affairs, and Parliamentary procedure. Her sector experience spans energy and sustainability, financial services, infrastructure, transport, and planning.
Sara has advised FSTE 500 clients throughout Brexit, energy suppliers during the energy / cost of living crisis, and successfully lobbied the Government on issuing Sovereign Green Bonds. Sara takes an integrated approach to public affairs and has considerable experience utilising communications, media and digital in support of her client’s objectives.
At SEC Newgate, Sara leads the Advocacy team’s Green & Good work and is acutely aware that in a world of ever-changing priorities, the most defining of our generation centres around climate change, environmental practices, purposeful businesses and the green energy transition. Sara is passionate about creating positive change and by working hand in hand with businesses, she advises on how to mitigate risk and deliver communications strategies that set organisations apart from the crowd.
Sara started her career working for Alex Salmond, former First Minister of Scotland, and the SNP Westminster Group where she advised on energy, defense, tax, and transport policy, as well as constitutional affairs. She then moved into a number of leading public affairs agencies helping businesses engage with policy makers, regulators, NGO, and the media.
