SEC Newgate was appointed by leading resort chain, Soneva, to raise the profile of its Villa Ownership Scheme in the Maldives, amongst an affluent global audience. As a pioneer of barefoot luxury and exclusive private islands, a conscientious approach to showcasing its distinctive ethos was essential.
Exploring fresh routes to engaging with audiences digitally, and in response to the rise in demand for (and effectiveness of) more authentic human-led insight, SEC Newgate curated a partnership with social media influencer, @Sandrahagelstam.
A core objective of the activity was to bring a further level of endorsement and credibility to the Soneva brand, and communicate the Villa Ownership scheme and its benefits in an authentic and meaningful way.
Centred around a visit to one of the resorts, SEC Newgate worked with Soneva to curate an experience-led itinerary that brought to life the Soneva lifestyle, designed to inspire creative, unique stories about the resort’s points of difference.
As part of the partnership, SEC Newgate established and agreed campaign deliverables, including a set number of posts and specific key messages to be included in posts.
However, testament to the success of her experience and the bespoke itinerary, Sandra posted considerably more posts during her trip than agreed as part of the campaign – providing an increased return on investment for Soneva.
