Supporting Europe’s largest logistics and distribution park for GLP Holdings

Our work has been recognised by as an example of best practice, with the team exploring ways in which this approach can be extended to cover the activities of GLP’s operations across Europe.

CHALLENGE

SEC Newgate has worked with GLP since 2015 providing public affairs and engagement support on both Magna Park, Lutterworth, the largest logistics and distribution park in Europe and Magna Park, Corby, GLP’s second largest site in the UK.

Both sites cover multiple parish and local authority boundaries, and SEC Newgate has supported GLP in engagement with stakeholders at all levels of local and national government.

DELIVERY

• Using a combination of in-person consultation events, virtual engagement methods and a regular Community Liaison Group (CLG) SEC Newgate has helped GLP to build and manage complex stakeholder relationships across the two sites over the past nine years.
• Setting up of dedicated community websites, providing up to date information about the progress of Magna Park, as well as details about the GLP community fund and full copies of all minutes and decisions taken by the CLG.
• Working closely with GLP’s in-house development team and the corporate communications team as well as coordinating work with GLP’s retained communications agency and UK-wide public affairs agency.
