SEC Newgate works at the nexus of business, politics, communities, markets and media advising and supporting clients to achieve their purpose, add value and make an impact to their key audiences locally, nationally and internationally.
This appointment marks the next stage of SEC Newgate’s evolution with clients able to tap a bench of highly experienced senior advisers drawn from the most relevant fields to help them navigate today’s business challenges. Richard’s previous experience advising clients with complex corporate affairs briefs makes him well placed to grow SEC Newgate’s award-winning expertise.
In addition, as someone who has worked extensively with international clients over many years and across different jurisdictions, Richard will also work closely with Dan Doherty, SEC Newgate’s recently appointed Global Chair of Corporate Affairs and the firm’s global network of 60+ offices. Together they will work to create greater impact for a wide range of the business’s international clients as well as unlocking new opportunities.
Alistair Kellie, Practice Head of SEC Newgate UK commented, “Richard’s track record of advising clients across the full corporate affairs spectrum stood out for us and it was clear he would be an excellent complement to our expertise at SEC Newgate. His previous experience advising senior business leaders and the C-suite coupled with his earlier career as a BBC newsman will help our clients cut through to the stakeholders that matter. He’s already proved to be a great asset, and we’re excited to have him on-board.”
Richard Griffiths said, “I feel privileged to join such a talented team of trusted advisers. I wanted the next stage of my career to be with a smart team who are also brilliant to work with. I’m thrilled to be playing my part in taking the business to the next level and becoming a source of trusted advice for our clients as we help them protect and enhance their reputations.”
