Iona is a crisis communications specialist in SEC Newgate’s Crisis, Special Situations and Litigation team, advising clients on reputation management and litigation communications, particularly where legal, reputational and media issues intersect.
She has particular experience advising on complex and sensitive safeguarding matters, including those involving schools and educational institutions, as well as employment tribunals, class actions and high-profile court cases. Her clients have included major UK public bodies, charities, property companies and high-net-worth individuals, both in the UK and internationally.
Iona joined SEC Newgate from a specialist crisis, litigation and reputation management consultancy, where she advised clients on complex reputational and legal matters. She previously gained experience in the office of Tim Farron MP during his leadership of the Liberal Democrats and holds a BA in Politics from the University of Edinburgh.
