The appointment further strengthens SEC Newgate’s corporate affairs advisory offer with clients able to tap a bench of highly experienced senior advisers drawn from the most relevant fields to help them navigate today’s complex macro environment.

Noémie is a strategic and financial communications expert with a 25-year track record of advising private and public businesses on building and protecting their reputation at the most critical moments. She has a background in managing high-stakes issues, including extensive experience with cross-border M&A, fundraisings, debt restructurings and corporate crisis situations. She has also helped numerous private-equity funds and their portfolio companies raise their profile, build influence and manage periods of intense media and regulatory scrutiny.

Noémie is the former Communications Director of private equity firm Permira where she led its reputation strategy globally for over a decade. During that time, she supported the launch of several new investment strategies, sector teams and geographies and helped protect the fund’s reputation through the Great Financial Crisis and multiple macro-economic and fundraising cycles.

Noémie has also held a series of senior leadership positions at strategic communications consultancies during the course of her career. Most recently, she was a Managing Director at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, where she led the private markets team. Her clients have ranged from private growth businesses to global private equity and hedge funds, international investors and listed multinationals across sectors including retail and consumer, technology and financial services. A French national, she began her career as a Commissioning Editor for Financial Times Business.

Alistair Kellie, Practice Head, Communications, SEC Newgate UK commented, “We are delighted to welcome Noémie as part of our senior team. Her previous experience leading the communications strategy of an international private equity and private credit firm as well as advising global firms and funds with complex reputation challenges through various economic cycles make her ideally placed to advise our clients through this period of uncertainty and change.”

Noémie de Andia, Senior Counsel, said, “Reputation management has never been so critical for leading businesses and private markets investors seeking to build competitive advantage whilst protecting their licence to operate in an increasingly complex and unpredictable geopolitical environment. The team at SEC Newgate are experts at helping their clients navigate such complexity, build influence and communicate with impact to achieve their ambitions. It is a pleasure to join such a talented team.”
