Millie works with clients across sectors including the circular economy, sustainability and biodiversity. She joined SEC Newgate after working in Parliament for several Labour MPs, most recently as Senior Parliamentary Researcher to a Minister. In this role, she advised on policy, legislation and political engagement, and led the social media strategy.
Before this, Millie worked as a civil servant at the Department for Education. She began her career as an Opposition Whips’ Assistant in the Opposition Whips’ Office from 2017 to 2019, working with senior MPs to support vote management, parliamentary absences and debate scheduling.
Millie was also Chair of the Labour Staff Network from 2023 until joining SEC Newgate in 2026. This involved hosting events like panels and networking drinks for staff working for Labour MPs, facilitating knowledge sharing and connections across Parliament. Millie grew the Network throughout her time as Chair, and it now has over 650 members.
Having started her career as an apprentice, Millie completed her undergraduate degree at evening school while working full time. She received her degree in 2024 and graduated with a first-class bachelor’s degree in Politics.
