Waste, Resources & Circular Economy

Our Work in the waste, resources and circular economy sector
Our planetary resources are shrinking and how we understand resources and waste is changing. Organisations at all stages of the waste hierarchy, or even those who have moved away from linear consumption systems entirely, are operating in a changing regulatory and economic landscape.
Government is encouraging moves towards the circular economy, zero waste, but is also taking a look at how so-called “waste” products can still create value.
Food and agricultural waste for example can be transformed into biomethane, a low carbon fuel, or turned into textiles. Electronic waste can be mined for precious metals and materials that can help shorten supply chains. Demolition sites can be considered material mines for the construction of innovative, sustainable buildings.
The circular economy could deliver a £25bn boost to Britain’s economy by 2035 and create hundreds of thousands of skilled jobs and the Circular Economy Strategy the Government is seeking input on, will shape key sectors (textiles, transport, construction, agri-food, chemicals and plastics and electronics) for decades to come.
Meanwhile energy policy, and policy on critical minerals, is impacting on anything from 'Energy from Waste' (EfW) / 'Energy Recovery Facilities' (ERF) to green energy businesses.
Our team is working with some of the most established but also some of the most innovative players in this space to advise across communications, advocacy and provide insight.
From deep thinking on sustainability and purpose communications, policy influencing, to stakeholder and community buy-in for new waste management facilities, our team can help.
