Fraser leads SEC Newgate UK’s national public affairs team, supporting clients to secure meaningful impact through policy and regulatory change.

He is a public affairs specialist and former government adviser, with deep expertise in political analysis and strategic counsel across a range of highly regulated sectors. He works closely with clients including financial and professional services and others, helping them navigate complex policy environments and respond to emerging legislative and regulatory challenges.

Fraser’s advisory work has spanned sectors including investment, trade bodies, outsourced services, water, FMCG and logistics, supporting businesses in identifying opportunities and mitigating risks in politically sensitive landscapes.

Prior to joining SEC Newgate UK, Fraser served as a Special Adviser to the de facto Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of State for Justice, and Leader of the House of Commons between 2016 and 2019. During his time in government, he provided political support on constitutional, devolution, justice, and legislative policy across the Cabinet Office and Ministry of Justice.
