Matt uses his political and wider knowledge of the South West region as part of SEC Newgate's Advocacy Local team.

He has worked as an adviser to a Member of the European Parliament in Brussels, as well as in a variety of communications and engagement roles in the South West, including for the West of England Metro Mayor. He works on projects across the region in energy and infrastructure. Matt lives in Exeter, where he is also a local councillor
