Matt works mainly across the transport and infrastructure sectors on national and devolved levels, for clients that include the APPG on Taxis, Cadent and the Licensed Taxi Drivers' Association.
He also has extensive experience working with trade bodies, with clients including the Confederation of Passenger Transport, National Association of Funeral Directors, and Institute for Family Business.
Previously at Newington, Matt worked in the housing, development and local public affairs division, for clients such as British Land, TfL and DPD.
Prior to joining SEC Newgate (formerly Newington), Matt worked in financial services across both finance and communications roles, and is a part-qualified chartered accountant. Having graduated from Lancaster University with an Economics degree, he also served as a Labour Councillor on Lancaster City Council, as well as interning in the House of Commons
Proudest moment? Being elected as a councillor while I was an undergraduate student. Alongside being able to
represent people in my area, it meant a year of knocking on doors and delivering leaflets in miserable weather hadn't
been for nothing!
