Vanessa is an award-winning communications specialist with 20 years’ experience in financial services PR.

Vanessa provides strategic communications advice and implementation across insurance and financial services brands, where she has deep sector knowledge and an excellent network of media connections. She is known for her creativity and talent for taking complex financial subjects and turning them into consumer-friendly stories.

Vanessa was voted Best General Insurance PR at the 2013 Headline Money Awards for her in-house work at LV=. She joined Redleaf (now merged with SEC Newgate) from LV= in 2015, where she led the general insurance media relations strategy to be the UK’s most-loved insurer. During this time, her team was voted ABI Press Office of the Year. At SEC Newgate, Vanessa has led award-winning campaigns for her clients in the insurance sector.
