Dafydd Rees is a senior adviser to leading UK and international companies.

He is a financial and corporate communications specialist who thrives on complex challenges. He specialises in developing a meaningful public profile, mission and purpose for clients.

Dafydd has wide experience of developing an integrated communications programme to enhance global corporate reputation. He is part of a larger integrated media relations and digital team of specialists at SEC Newgate who create content which is both compelling and resonates with target audiences.

He is passionate about sustainable business leadership, climate finance and the net zero transition. Dafydd has been heavily involved in organising a series of high-profile events focused on climate finance, impact investment and nature-based solutions. Dafydd advises among others the Green Finance Institute, the WWF, Bankers for Net Zero and the UN PRI.

Dafydd has more than thirty years of frontline experience as an award-winning business journalist. His media career includes senior leadership roles at Bloomberg, the BBC and Sky News. He is a former policy adviser to the UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
